It was a wet and wild weekend up in San Francisco. With teams from up and down the coast competing in both Gold and Silver divisions. Conditions were tough, with 180 degree wind shifts to gusts of 25 knots, it was some of the most challenging conditions the fleet has had all year.
The SAMOHI team did great this past weekend. Wills Stratton and Eames Weeks had a tough first rotation while trying to get a grasp on the shifting winds. Oliver Keeves and Harry had a solid first rotation as the wind settled. With the light conditions on Saturday it was tough racing but the team ended the day in 8th place. Sunday was a whole different story. Gusts of 25 and rain to boot, it was a completely different regatta. 180 degree wind shifts made sailing a consistent race tough. The team had some highs and some lows but ended up pulling an 11th place overall which was good for the conditions. Great job SAMOHI!
